CocoTherapy co-founder, Carmina O'Connor was honored to be invited to attend the Virgin Coconut Oil of the Philippines (VCOP) Meeting held at the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) headquarters.

In January 2011 while in the Philippines on business, CocoTherapy co-founder, Carmina O'Connor was honored to be invited to attend the Virgin Coconut Oil of the Philippines (VCOP) Meeting held at the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) headquarters.

The agenda included a report on Coconut Summit, and a proposal on coconut oil and Alzheimer's Study, which is headed by Dr. Fabian Dayrit. Dr. Fabian Dayrit is the son of renowned cardiologist Dr. Conrado Dayrit and author of a much-referenced book, "The Truth About Coconut Oil - The Drugstore in a Bottle" (available on Amazon). Dr. Fabian Dayrit is the Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, in Ateneo de Manila University, and a professor in Chemistry. Following his father's passion for coconut oil, he is involved in various studies regarding coconut oil and has written many articles based on his research.

As a member of CocoTherapy's Board of Advisors, Dr. Dayrit will be instrumental in helping provide various researches, articles, and studies on the "hows and whys" medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are extremely beneficial for our pets.

Dr. Dayrit benefits from a lifetime of studies from his father, Dr. Conrado Dayrit, who was a co-founder and president of the Philippine Heart Foundation and has written over 200 scientific papers published in international journals. He continues his father's tireless work on helping researchers both in the U.S. and the Philippines learn more about the amazing effects of MCTs on our and our pet's health.
