For birds and other very small animals, we recommend starting with a low amount and gradually increasing to ensure tolerance. As a general guideline, start with 1 drop per 50 grams of body weight, once daily. After 1–2 weeks, if well tolerated, you may gradually increase to up to 2 drops per 50 grams of body weight daily. For example, a big 500-gram bird may take about 10–20 drops daily, depending on tolerance. Tip: If you’re using a dropper, 20 drops is roughly equal to about 1 mL (¼ teaspoon) — so even at the higher end, it’s still a very small amount! TriPlex MCT-3 Oil can be mixed into soft food, pellets, or offered separately in a small dish. Because birds have fast metabolisms and can be sensitive to dietary changes, always start slow, a little goes a long way! As with any dietary change, it’s best to consult your avian veterinarian before introducing new supplements to your bird’s diet.

Triplex MCT 3 Oil For Dogs Seizures

I have been giving my Goldendoodle who is prone to seizures the Triplex oil for almost a year. I took her off all flea and tick and heartworm meds (which are poisons) and using more organic methods to prevent exposure. My 8 year old dog has been seizure free since January 2025. My dog does not love this on her food or in a treat so I have to use other methods to get it into her.

Promising Results

After some research and recommendation from our dog's neurologist, we started using cocotherapy's MCT oil for our 5 year old lab with epilepsy. So far we've noticed his seizures have changed from 90 % grand mal to 50/50 grand mal and focal seizures. He has been on phenobarbital, Keppra and Pregabalin for almost 2 years. His seizure activity has steadily increased between age 2 and 4. The past year has been a focus to reduce ER visits and now reduce frequency of emergency medicines such as diazepam and midazolam. This change in the nature of his seizures feels like we are finally gaining in seizure management rather than trying to keep up with the changes.
